Firmly Planted
How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he mediates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. —Psalm 1:1-3
"Firmly Planted" is a Bible study series written to equip the believer to live out a life which is Bible-driven. By understanding God's Word and being able to affirm a passage with other Scriptures, we can begin to glean a depth of relationship with God which allows us to live the life referred to in Psalm 1. God's word and it's direction become our delight. We begin to understand what it means to mediate on it. We will be like trees firmly planted by streams of water, yielding fruit in due season. When troubles come, we will not wither and we begin to prosper in whatever we do.
It is the goal of this series to equip every believer with the ability to study the Scriptures on their own to come to an understanding of the text. Then, meet together with other believers ready to share what God has revealed to them through His Word. It is our prayer that your hunger for God's word is increased.
